Super Sensei

It is hard not to be at awed and humbled at the same time by a 72 year old man. Being a Super Human, would usually be associated with some heroic character saving the world, but no, Harry sensei is no suave hunk saving the world in a single breath (when he actually is).

What he is capable of doing is personally for me, help me release my angst.

I shouldn’t be saying this but it is a fact for me. I sometimes take it out on my sensei. When i have a bad day, or i allow a certain thing to frustrate me, and when Harry sensei asked my to be his uke, i somehow took it out on him. with all my might and strength that i can muster, I will grip him with all my might, or charge at him. Never once did he allow my bullishness gets to him. In fact, he is my reality check as the hard i charge at him, the harder i fall. The casue adn effect here is immediate, being an ass, fall on your ass, hard. This old man is no pushover.

He saved me, many a times, when i would let my angst gets better of me. If i lose it, as his uke, i certainly would have been injured by my own accord. So i have to redirect my focus away from the angst to be his uke 110%. and after that physical bout with Harry sensei, the angst and anger is gone, as if he has absorbed it from me, and gave me my humanity back

The other reason for his Super Humaness was what he demonstrated today. he got Luke and Renny to grab his wrists and lift him up, which they could easily, but at a whim he dropped back to terra firma collapsing the two younger men. For someone his age he could throw men half that chronological time frame. With two fingers, he heartily threw Matthias to the ground.

Muscle for muscle, meat for meat, there is no way he can be stronger than Renny. but he is. He substitute speed for his precision in timing. One cannot be faster than a person who is so well timed.

Indeed if being a senior citizen is to be like Harry sensei, then being old isn;t such a bad idea after all.
